My experience in Fuerteventura and my exclusive Drysurf training system with unique synergies for surfing, plus the combination of water, will really make an evolution in your surfing progress from beginer through to advanced surfing.

Hi, I’m Mauro Gascó.

My passion for surfing from a very young age has created in me a way of life as a surf coach.

I settled in Fuerteventura in the 90s attracted by its climate, its turquoise waters and the opportunity to surf 365 days a year.

Together with Miguel Angel Lindoso, at CSD Centro de Salud y Deporte we worked to create the Functional Balance tool so that it could improve the physical preparation of surfers and prevent injuries.

And we really got that and more..

Now with Evolution Surf Fuerteventura, I enjoy my work as a Surf Coach teaching Surf classes in Fuerteventura, both at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.

I teach surf lessons to both children and adults, tourists and residents.

I love teaching and transmitting the sensations and techniques of Surfing.

A new form of training that enhances surfing skills such as balance, concentration, fluidity, with preventive medicine and allows you to perform exercises preventing and/or recovering from injuries.

This system helps to practice the necessary maneuvers out of the water as many times as you want, activating Neural Stimulation, since the brain corrects and memorizes each movement.

  Mauro ist einfach super! Er erklärt sehr einfach und effektiv was man zu tun hat. Dadurch macht man wahnsinnig schnell Fortschritte. Er ist im Wasser immer bei dir und gibt super Anweisungen.
Er ist immer gut gelaunt und passt sehr gut auf seine Schüler auf. Außerdem ist er sehr spontan und dadurch ziemlich flexibel, um immer den besten Spot für jeden zu finden.

  Learning & improving surfing with Mauro was a blast! Mauro’s knowledge about the spots, its conditions and also the entire island was impressive.   Mauro is the best surf teacher I have ever had!! He just takes a few students out so that he has enough time for everyone individually. He takes care and time for everyone and I felt super safe beeing with him on the water.
Taking the dry-surf-classes beforehand was the gamechanger and I immediately felt the improvement on the water after my first class.

  Mauro ist seit über einem Jahr mein Surflehrer. Ich erlebe ihn sehr geduldig mit Anfängern (vor allem auch, wenn sie etwas Angst vor dem Wasser haben) und total motivierend mit Intermediates. Er lebt seit 30 Jahren auf der Insel, kennt daher viele Spots und fährt mit dir zu Wellen, die nicht von anderen Surflehrern angefahren werden. Er bringt mich immer wieder aus der Komfortzone, aber so, dass ich mich jederzeit sicher fühle. Und wenn der Take Off noch nicht so stimmt, oder du an anderen Techniken an Land feilen willst, nimmt er dich mit zum Drysurf. Geh mit ihm surfen, dann weißt du, was ich meine :D

  I started surfing in January 2021 and that was also the time when I met Mauro. At the time of this post I am already surfing with him for 1,5 years (always when I am in Fuerte) and could not imagine a better surf teacher.

You can feel that he loves what he is doing and his highest goal is always to enable you to have the best time in the water.

Also, and most importantly for me, I feel always safe with him. No matter how fast or big the waves are - with Mauro close to me I know I can do it. On the other hand, I am certain he wouldn’t put me in waves I cannot handle.

Further, I love his teaching approach. The way he teaches is not only to get you on a wave, but also to understand how the wave works, get to know the Ocean, tides, wind and so on - and that really makes the difference for me.

Mauro is very easy to communicate with and super responsive. If you want to book a lesson just hit him up and he will find the right wave for you and your level.

  Mi experiencia con el entrenamiento funcional de  DrySurf de 'Evolution Surf Fuerteventura' ha sido muy positiva  (espero poder retomar las clases después del verano !!)
Las clases son TOP TOP !!  Intensas, divertidas y muy dinámicas ..  desde el primer momento ya notas cambios en tu posición y equilibrio.
Mauro es un excelente entrenador que te ayuda a entender los movimientos,  trabajar la coordinación para conseguir tu objetivo.   En mi caso el takeoff en el surf y el equilibrio en general, por lo que considero una actividad recomendada para todos (amantes o no del surf).
